The König Austernpitz Pilz is a one of a kind edible, it tastes very fulfilling like meat while remaining 100% Vegan. This is because of its meaty flesh and its Umami flavor.

Grown on a small scale with advanced lab techniques and natural substrate (elm sawdust, bavarian rye, plaster of Paris), our best Oyster mushrooms are selected to be sold at the market and to restaurant chefs, the less aesthetically appealing specimens are dried or made into mushroom soup.

We constantly update the genetics we have by letting some sporulate to produce new individuals with unique characteristics.

Culinary value

The King oyster is a good replacement for meat in recipes, especially of chicken meat. It makes great tasting sautés, nuggets and is awesome in omelets and also soups.
